California's phenomenal craft distillery St. George Spirits celebrated its 35th anniversary in an incredibly tasty way - with a limited edition single malt whiskey! The distillers have gone into their whiskey warehouse and unearthed some tasty casks to blend together, creating an astonishing expression. This includes whiskey finished in casks from a Californian dessert wine producer, whiskey matured in a Tennessee whiskey barrel then finished in a bourbon barrel that previously held St. George California Agricole Rum, and even the fourth barrel of single malt whiskey they ever laid down! Just 771 bottled were produced.

Nose - Opens with notes of cherry cola and a touch of coffee. Over time, these aromatics give way to buttery pastry/walnut baklava, with a dose of mandarin orange. Stone fruit and rose geranium dance through as well.

Palate - Dried fruit and more cola, with grain, cocoa, and a hint of black pepper. The finish is rich and creamy, with warm baking spices and the lingering sensation of Sauternes.

St. George Spirits is an American craft distillery in Alameda, California that has been producing spirits for the last 35 years. Founded by Jörg Rupf, it was the first small distillery to open after the collapse of Prohibition. Jörg was eventually joined by Lance Winters, a former nuclear scientist, and brewer and they worked together distilling spirits for the next 20 years. In 2010, Jörg retired from 28 years of service as a master distiller at the company.

The spirits the company currently continues to make include single malt whiskey, Agricole rum, Absinthe, gin, vodka (including flavored versions), apple brandy, and liqueurs. St. George Absinthe Verte, which debuted in 2007, was the first legal Absinthe made in the USA since it was banned in 2007. Queues formed at the distillery and all bottles sold out in four hours.
