Tobi - Barley Mania "Long n’ strong. The Glasgow Edition of The Epicurean leaves behind pleasant traces of beeswax, apricot and white pepper. The spirit’s high ABV of 58.6 per cent also makes itself known during the finish."
Thijs Klaverstijn - Distiller "A very typical Lowland profile, with sweet and warm notes of vanilla, as well as freshly cut green apples and pickled lemon. A whiff of rye bread, cotton candy and straw too. The vanilla continues on the palate, accompanied by oak shavings, as well as powdered sugar. There’s a good hit of zesty lemon and white pepper too, followed by a sliver of mint... powerful and flavourful stuff. Not too dissimilar from the regular Epicurean, except this one has been infused with steroids."
Nose - Fresh barley and zesty lemon top notes, backed up by a whiff of peppery rye bread.
Palate - Heavy with vanilla and Victoria sponge cake. Grassy at points. Mint leaf herbaceousness.
Finish - Subtly chocolatey on the finish.
