Christopher Null - Drinkhacker "It’s an honest, old-school, rough-around-the-edges bourbon with a real kick."
John Hansell - Whisky Advocate "Soft, elegant, and nicely rounded, with honeyed orchard fruit and gentle spice on a bed of vanilla and caramel. Very versatile; a pleasing, unchallenging bourbon to suit most moods and situations..."
The Whisky World "With its smooth finish, it’s one to be desired."
Master of Malt "Still as brilliant as ever!"
Josh Peters - Whiskey Jug "A fine bourbon filled with great aromas and flavours."
Nose - A nicely elegant nose with lots of fragrant cinnamon and vanilla, as well as some dry herbal notes.
Mouth - A big spicy kick now. As well as a lot of oak, mint and herbal tea.
Finish - Moderate length, really dry and oaky. Returns to cinnamon and vanilla in the very end.
A tavern keeper in 1830s Louisville, Kentucky, Augustus Bulleit was dedicated to a single goal: the creation of a bourbon unique in flavor. After experimenting with countless varieties, he finally came upon a bourbon with the character he had long sought after. To this day, Bulleit™ Bourbon is distilled and aged in the Bulleit family tradition. High rye content gives it a bold, spicy character with a distinctively smooth, clean finish.
